RIP TEDDY PENDERGRASS...

Legendary soul/r&b singer, Teddy Pendergrass passed away Wednesday at the age of 59, after a long battle with colon cancer. It's no question that Teddy leaves behind a myriad of classics that both myself and generations before me have enjoyed for years.

Here are a few of my sampled favorites...

Jay-Z feat. Beanie Seagal and Scarface "This Can't Be Life" ...

...sampled from Harold Melvin and the Bluenotes "I Miss You"

Ahmad "Back in the Day" ...

sampled from...Teddy Pendergrass "Love TKO"

Mary J. Blige "Mary Jane (All Night Long) ...

...sampled from Teddy Pendergrass "Close the Door"

**Thirty-one years ago, the late great Donny Hathaway suffered an untimely death at the age of 33 on the exact same day.**

Enjoy...

Muhsinah "Always"

Per Muhsinah's Official Webpage:

"This video depicts the American housing market spiraling out of control. The words in the song reminds us that we "might not know where the week might go", - be it "wall to wall paint and bank to bank" - but if we keep a positive "action and thought (that smile)" we will surely earn the things we've worked towards, "Always".
